Jeffrey L. Koenen, OD

Meet the experienced and friendly doctor who makes dsmeye-skywalk the leading provider of vision care products and services in Des Moines.

Dr. Koenen knew from his freshman year in high school that he wanted to be an optometrist when he grew up.

After graduating from Hampton High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Iowa State University. From there he attended the Illinois College of Optometry where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 1996.

Since graduating he has been proudly providing “I care, eye care” to the downtown Des Moines community. He loved working in the downtown area so much, he opened his own practice here in 2002. Dr. Koenen specializes in general optometry, dry eye, computer vision problems, and contact lenses. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association for 24 years.
